This Week In Books: NEMESIS

by Young Che on October 31, 2009

Well I just finished reading NEMESIS by one of the best in the game, Isaac Asimov. You already know I have to keep giving props to Michael Arrington of TechCrunch fame for putting me back up on this Sci-Fi kick. As a result of this eye opening experience I’ve had the great opportunity to immerse myself in worlds so familiarly strange that my imagination has been sufficiently sparked enough to push me through the next 10 years of my existence of this so-called life. The young heroine of this story is the possessor of a gift so remarkably dangerous that most people who interact with her would rather she not ever existed. She is blessed with a unique ability of perception very similar to being able to read thoughts however she reads every physically human sign which happens to be like a window into your thoughts. She can perceive motive, intention, honesty or the lack thereof so thoroughly that everyone who encounters her is like an open book. As the story develops she’s attracted to another uniquely beautiful mind and they develop a bond that only can be appreciated on the higher level of thought. It’s a great story worth the read so check it out whenever you get the chance.
